Great Camera on Verizon HTC Thunderbolt

I was trying to do two things as once and dropped my HTC Incredible on the only rock within 10 feet of where I was standing.  Bye-Bye phone.  Just got the new HTC Thunderbolt and have been playing with the camera.  It takes a really nice shot for a phone.  It’s an 8MP, which I believe is the best on the market right now.

I also tested to make sure it works with snapartwork.com.  Imagine that.  I jumped onto the website and the home page animation looked great.  Functioned perfectly.  I picked my favorite frame and scrolled down the page to the uploader.  I clicked on it and easily navigated to photo folder and found the image I just took.  It took just a few seconds to upload my image.  I selected my special effects and checked out.  It was a “snap” pun intended.   Unfortunately, you can’t do any of this with your IPhone.  Ya see the makers of the device have funny rules and restrictions.  So if you are looking for a great phone with a great camera that gives you the freedom to surf flash websites, etc. the Thunderbolt is a very good option.

How to Take Great Photos with a Camera Phone !

No Camera, No Problem! Camera Phones can take Great Pictures Too!

New to using a camera phone? Or just want to take better pictures with your phone? These tips will be sure to help.

First, it is important to keep the lens clean. Camera phones tend to spend a lot of time in pockets and bags, etc, so make sure you take the time to clean your camera lens using a soft cloth (sunglass cleaning cloths work well). If you can, shoot your picture outside. If you can’t, make sure to turn on indoor lights before taking your picture. If your camera phone has a flash, use it; it can add brightness and clarity to your pictures. The next step is to get close to your subject. Try and have your subject fill up most of the screen so that you won’t have to zoom in later. You also want to use the highest resolution available on your phone to increase the quality of your photo.

Finally, you want to hold your phone as still as possible when trying to get a good picture. The steadier your camera is held, the better the picture will turn out. Another thing to note is that some phone cameras take a few seconds from when you press the button until the picture is actually taken, so make sure you hold the camera still until the shot is captured. Even if you think your picture leaves much to be desired, don’t delete it right away; it may look different on the computer screen, you never know! With these simple tips, you’re now ready to take some great pictures without even having a camera. Got a great shot and now you don’t know what to do with it? Try one of our many frame choices including the very modern Acrylic Frame with Standoffs and display your new picture taking talent! And be sure to brag that it came from a camera phone!

Getting the best shot!

Now on to lighting! First you want to make sure that the flash is turned on. The icon for this is usually a lightning bolt. Some cameras have an option of red eye reduction as well; if you have an option that has a lightning bolt and an eye this setting would work best. The best time to take a picture is outside in the daytime, whether it’s sunny or cloudy it will still make for a better picture than if you were to take it inside. You want to make sure that the sun is behind your subject so that they’re not looking into it and squinting. Also it’s better if the sun isn’t directly behind them because that may cause the sun to directly hit your lens and cause a glare. .

Finally position your photo so that you are getting the subjects head and shoulders; there is no need for a full body shot (unless that’s why you want). Hold your camera still and press down the shutter button halfway. This tells the camera to auto-focus. When the camera has done that usually a green light will show or it will beep, or possibly even both and now it is time to take your picture. Now that you’ve got this down, take plenty of pictures and enjoy! Once you have a photo that you love and want to show it off, our Canvas Wrap Frame is a great frame to display your portrait. You can even change the colors on the side of the frame to coordinate with your picture.

Ready, Set, Shoot!

Just starting out taking pictures with a digital camera and can’t seem to get good pictures? Well there’s no need to worry. With a few simple tips, you will be taking great photos whether it’s for a holiday card, a picture of your child or a beautiful outdoor scene. You’ll be taking great pictures in no time!To accent a great scenery shot that you’ve taken, try a frame from our Color Frame Collection, where you can match the frame color to colors in your photo!

Now onto taking the picture! Don’t get confused with all the settings available on your digital camera. To focus on a single object such as a person, pet or even an object turn the camera dial to portrait mode (usually depicted by a person’s head). By having your camera in this mode, it draws attention to your subject and blurs the background. To make your subject appear even sharper in the photo, zoom in on your subject as much as you can and take steps back as to get their whole face back into focus.
